krnau 0 Posted December 11, 2008 I have found many posts in Search... but all talking about VR6 :( I woul like someone to give me some advise about KR ignition leads. I have been having a look at eBay and found some blue silicone "K1" ones saying the following: * 10mm quad core construction. * Blue silicone outer sheathing. * Improves throttle response, mpg & acceleration. * Manufactured in UK by Kerr Nelson. * Lifetime Warranty. apart from throttle response, mpg & accel. which I know will not be true   what do you think about them?? or should I get some VW OE ones? vwdeviant 0 Posted December 11, 2008 Remember the Knock sensor connects to ?4? lead and is a beatch to remove... VAG ones have a new one attached, which is probably whey they are so damn expensive! (£125+ from meory!)
davidwort 0 Posted December 11, 2008 Remember the Knock sensor connects to ?4? lead and is a beatch to remove... not on a KR, you mean 9A :) Buy some FEBI ones, mine from GSF have lasted 10 years and are still within spec, lasted as long as the OEM ones. Other 'performance' ones are a waste of cash IMO, no performance improvement, they just look prettier.

krnau 0 Posted December 11, 2008 yes I know there is no performance increase, but they look better :D is there any way to test these leads?

Jay23Sx 0 Posted December 17, 2008 I've got the Dub Power leads .. do the job nicely (and in red they match the paintwork - well come on, it was that or blue)

Supercharged 2 Posted December 18, 2008 VAG ones have a new one attached, which is probably whey they are so damn expensive! (£125+ from meory!) They might have been at one point if you bought each lead seperatly but if you ask for the Quantum branded ones they are about the same price as the above from AVS for a set!
