are these the right ones for my vr ??

hi all

 

brought these H&R coilys( xmas prezzie to my corrado lol) for my vr6 are these the right ones? as the thing that is

buggin me is it says Golf mk2 mk3 on them, surely there are different ones for a vr compared to say a gti golf 16v corrado etc??? is there a way of finding out?

 

any help i would be most gratful

MK3 Golf VR coilovers will fit, unsure about MK2 though, i think the springrate is greater for the VR kits to allow for the extra engine weight.

found the part number of the side of the box it is 35865 -1 is this correct for a corrado vr6??? looked on the internet for a match but cant find it!!!

I just googled "H&R 35865" That was the only hit though. How about the H&R UK website?

Check the spring rates.

 

H&R for the VR6 are 400in/lb front and 275in/lb rear. H&R are probably metric though, so could be 70nm/cm front (IIRC) and 40ish rear.

 

H&R definitely used to have a VR6 specific coil over, although that may have changed in recent years in common with other coilovers.
