So, need help, to obtain new gearbox is too expencive, here localy no chanse to buy used for corrado, it there any oportunity to take gearbox from another VW car? Passat? Golf MK3?... If not, Then i think to change gearbox to the manual, if there are not also some "submarines" Please help me to became happy corrado owner. Regards. dukest 0 Posted April 29, 2009 i might have an auto gearbox you could buy soon. i dont know its condition yet but i will find out at the weekend. i would want about £100 for it and apparently it could cost as little as £50 to send to you.
fla 9 Posted May 9, 2009 get it scanned for error codes, there may be a problem with the solenoid sequencing. Change the transmission fluid and filter for starters. Once you've got the errors, post them up and we'll go from there. The auto transmission is not as bad as you often hear, but because they often get neglected and dont have the fluid changed regularly they tend to give problems. Some trannies go on forever, but for some reason the 096 box get a lot of bad press. Good luck!
