temp needle not working

hello corrado people looking at changing my car for a rado, saw a very nice one today only thing was the temp needle did not work??

 

any ideas what this may be ?

 

ps: the cars had the clutch changed and i was told by the owner that it started doing this after getting it back from the clutch change

 

any help would be appreciated the quicker the better !!!!

Not sure if the temp gauge senders are all the same but I priced one up for my valver yesterday - £30 :shock:

are parts available for rados or are they hard to source, sorry im a new head to rados.

ps it was a 2.0 8v, really tempted by it but the temp needle was an issue

that's daft, I'm going to collect a few from the scrappy next time I'm down there, they're not that unreliable and a second hand one would work just fine.

any pics of where abouts its located in the engine bay, im thinking the garage may of knocked it off without knowing wen doing the clutch.

If it's an 8V then the sensor will be on the front of the head in a plastic housing.
