1.8 16v gears

the gears on my raddo seem very loose and far apart is this normal

reverse also crunches sometimes.

Sounds like the circlip under the gaiter could be missing. Try the search to find pics (I'm sure there are some somewhere). The circlip costs pence and takes a couple of mins to fit.

another thing i forgot to mention was,when im selecting 1st it sometimes feels like it is gonig to select reverse.

mine was the same mate.i was missing the circlip when i bought my car.it makes a massive diff when fitted
