RobyD 0 Posted January 23, 2004 Yeah forgot about it settling, looks about right. I slammed mine 80mm all round for a while and the rear was noticebly higher than the front. Looked sweet though 8) Scrubbed loads
Bally 0 Posted January 23, 2004 Sits abit high at the back like everyone else said.. I had the same problem on the 55mm springs, the rear never settled down enough, so gave em a little mod  IMO You can never tell with springs how low/high the car will sit, coilovers are a better opition but then there more expensive... Drive it & see how you get on mate :)
Rico 0 Posted January 23, 2004 I take it by a little mod you mean chopping a couple of coils off?? i did that on my last car and it looked really good but the drive was different story, very bouncy and uncomfortable.(and not that safe either!) wouldnt do it again. :bounce2:
Furkz 0 Posted January 23, 2004 DONT CUT SPRINGS TRUST ME  not good idea best to leave it a lil higher i think it looks mean that way

Several years ago, I was following my mate in his Escort Cabriolet on his freshly chopped springs and watched in horror as he went too fast through a chicane and the car rolled, throwing him and his girlfriend out of the car onto the road :( They were idiots, they didn't wear seatbelts and both ended up in intensive care. They were very lucky to have survived. Luckily I was there and drove them flat out to Accident & Emergency..... Basically, the reduced spring height and standard shocks caused the damper pistons to bottom out, he the lost control, hit the verge at 60ish and flipped the car...... Rico 0 Posted January 24, 2004 The things we do when were young eh? im happy with how the car sits anyway and if comes down more at the back its a bonus. still havn't got my tracking done but ive found a place that can do it, need to take front spoiler of first though!
