dubster82 0 Posted January 24, 2004 whatever you prefer i suppose
Pau1 0 Posted January 24, 2004 I wouldnt go for all black as i dont see the point in getting them retrimed in a colour you can already buy them in. :| Black with Red it the middle would be nice, Black leather with Red Alcantra Centers. :) Or how about a nice Ferrari Buscuit like A20LEE's, but that would be copying... 8)
VR6 0 Posted January 24, 2004 I'm inclined to go with Paul on this one - I think black leather with red alacantra centre's would look superb (as long as you get a good match of red to the bodywork.
Furkz 0 Posted January 24, 2004 i think black in the middle and red outside edges would look cool..........cream would look the nutz too i think not beige or camel colour i mean proper off white cream maybe with red piping
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted January 24, 2004 All black, no question. Multicoloured seats & interiors look cack and tacky imo.
Majik 0 Posted January 24, 2004 yup, im with kev on this one, all black has a sort of classic aura about it, whereas in a years time the red centres would've lost its appeal, how about getting the piping done in a different colour? If i was getting a retrim done from scratch i would choose a different pattern of how the leather is joined dont know what this is called but have a look at Merc CLK seats and you'll know what i mean
dubster82 0 Posted January 24, 2004 I like the idea of what majik is on about, basically redesigning the seats Carisma do this alot, and are by far the best trimmers in britain. tho very VERY expensive!!!
Furkz 0 Posted January 25, 2004 thats coz the guy who owns and runs carisma used be to a leather specialist fitter for Rolls Royce and prob charges Rolls prices
Henny 0 Posted January 25, 2004 Yup, I'd go for all black with a different stitching pattern... Makes the seats look completely different, yet not out of place... 8) We got it done to a Beetle (*yawn* yeah, a long time ago, but still relevent!) about 10 years ago and the difference it made was unreal. Standard seats with all black leather and a new stitching pattern made 'em look a million dollars! 8) They were done by Dave at DB Cartrim up in Blackpool... He's still going now and still has his good reputation which says something.... 8)
dubster82 0 Posted January 25, 2004 thats coz the guy who owns and runs carisma used be to a leather specialist fitter for Rolls Royce and prob charges Rolls prices  i knew that was gonna come up, and its rubbish. he wasnt a leather specialist for rolls royce.. he worked for them but as something else. he was making a renault5 at the time and wanted leather, so he took some rolls royce off white leather and his auntie taught him how to sew. thats how it started  I'll get ma coat..... dubster82 0 Posted January 25, 2004 you can spend as much as you want, no comparison since you have obviously never seen one of carismas cars. they are mint interiors. i am a big fan of MJ-Interiors too, and i never said they were bad. just not THE best. i have seen a few things like a thread fraid here and there. FurkiG60, DOUBLE DAMN! 8) Pioneer also asked him to redesign the interiors of three minis for use as their demo cars. so cant be that bad :wink::wink::wink::wink: dazzyvr6, Nice on mate, lovely looking seats :D
