jpowell79 0 Posted April 22, 2010 My clutch pedal seems to be a bit "sticky".....i.e it takes a second or so after I've lifted my foot, for the pedal to come up.....or sometimes it comes up half-way then "pops" up for the last few inches. I read elsewhere it could be the fluids? Any thoughts? Apparantly the clutch fluid is the same as brake fluid on these? (I have an N reg VR6) Is it simple to drain/replace, and what liquid to I need? cheers fellas :)
fla 9 Posted April 22, 2010 i had this - when i first fitted the manual. Turned out to be the plastic undertray part pressing slightly on teh clutch pedal arm. Just repositioned it slightly to the accelerator side and its all ok.

easypops 8 Posted April 22, 2010 Sounds quite like what happened to mine........clutch release fork was on its way out......snapped not long after the same symptoms as yours........new clutch, fork etc.......hope yours is easier than that :D Edit; I firstly changed the slave cylinder.....but that didn't help , so was then off to the garage

poll250 0 Posted April 23, 2010 Mine seems to be doing this too a bit, The first 1-2inches of travel seems "dead". I had a new clutch with fork a couple of months ago so not that I dont think. I got someone to push the pedal a couple of inches down a few times while I listened in the engine bay and there's a creaking noise coming from ontop of the gearbox. Is this the slave on its way out?
