asdf 0 Posted June 10, 2010 Well it seems that my 16v engine is past its best. Instead of replacing it with a 16v would any companys replace it with a vr6? I want to go donwn the vr6 route as it seems like a good base for forced induction. Are there any companys that can provide and install and engine? WigsVR6 0 Posted June 10, 2010 Why not save the hassle and buy a VR?
asdf 0 Posted June 10, 2010 I knew that would come up at some point. I dont wanna sell my car as its the right colour/spec i want. Everything works on it and its reasonably low milage. It may work out cheaper to sell and buy a vr6 but id rather keep my car whos history i know.
Jim 2 Posted June 10, 2010 General verdict seems to be that installing a 6 cylinder lump is much easier in a Corrado that was already a 6 cylinder before... and you're probably better off doing a 1.8T or something similar in your old valver.. Not saying the VR transplant can't be done, but it will be a heck of a lot more work.
