VR6 Gearbox Jumping out of first gear when pulling away

Recently developed a problem with my gearbox where it jumps out of first gear when pulling away. Any ideas on what the problem could be and if it’s a simple fix? Otherwise I’ll be swapping the box out.

Not sure, i had the gearbbox end engine mount out about a month a go and it was in good condition.

make sure the selector goes all the way to the stop and not held back by incorrectly adjusted cables mate,other than that its worn slow speed/sycro hub. :(

I still have this problem and now cannot select 5th gear, i think its a problem with the cable adjustement. How can i check the adjustment?

i hate this one - its totally hit and miss, at least when i adjusted mine. I started by putting the cable bolts in the middle and then trying the gears in turn. I then moved the upper one a few mm forwards and checked again. Then tried it backwards. I put a drill bit in the hole in the lower selector arm and tightened the square end in the middle - i'll come over this weekend if poss, if its not sorted by then.
