lion 0 Posted July 1, 2010 my fan went today, last time it went i put a fan from a mk2 in it.. this would keep temperature at 90-100 and oil temp at 94.. but today i put a fan from a 1.8 rado in and now temp goes up to 110+ and oil temp goes up to 118. so i take it the mk2 fans are better, or do u think i might just have got another dodge fan? davidwort 0 Posted July 2, 2010 is the mk2 fan a dual speed one? it's possible there's some issue with the 2 temperature thermostatic switch on the bottom of the rad and the speeds available from the fan you use, perhaps the fan is only running at low speed from the switch but the mk2 fan only has a high speed setting? sounds like your rad switch isn't working on higher temp/speed or the rado fan isn't.
