Dedzy 0 Posted September 17, 2010 Hi, just wondering if anyone can give me the lowdown on this thing here: Just wanna know what it is, what it does and what the part number might be? Car's running a bit lumpy since I've discovered this pipe is split... Thanks for any help, guys :]
fla 9 Posted September 17, 2010 its called a PCV valve - means Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve. These do tend to break due to the movement of teh engine as the mounts tend to wear. You could replace it with a piece of tube (like i ahve done), shoulndt make much of a performance difference. The rough running could be other things though.
