best 16v engine mounts?

had a look through the search and can only find info on the vr engine mount upgrades, like the mk2 diesel gearbox mount and poly bush mounts for instance.

 

is this the same fitting for the valvers?

 

need to go for some stiffer mounts really, is it worth doing them all?

The 16v mounts are different, apart form the GB mount. Vibratechnics are your best bet.

I think you can get heavy duty ones, normally labelled so or perhaps Diesel. I had a Diesel mk2 golf front mount one mine, and the whole cabin shook when the starter cranked over! :D

iv been to gfs already but the oil filled rear mount they offered seemed quite soft.

I personally wouldn't fit anything other than standard mounts on a valver, anything else seems to transmit a lot of noise and vibration even if it's just an uprated front mount (which is the one that gets the most strain on it)

I had a VT front and rear mount on my 16v, and it was fine...
