Rez 0 Posted December 20, 2010 Hey guys, Im new to the forum. Im running a 9a engine, but I have a slight problem with it. In the morning, when it's cold, it takes a fair bit to get started, quite a fair bit of cranking, but eventually it does start, although I do have to give it a bit of gas, otherwise it will splutter out. I'll usually have to do this for around 1 minute or so and then it will be fine. After this initial period of time it's fine, and will start again first time on the key and idles spot on. What could this be down to? There are no modifications to the engine (although I do intend to add in some KR cams at some point) Any help would be greatly appreciated Cheers :)
volksworld13 0 Posted December 20, 2010 sounds like your (5th )cold start injector isnt working, you can remove this, and see if its injecting, when is when the engine is cold, so a search top right.

Jim 2 Posted February 20, 2015 Try disconnecting the 5th injector then try starting it from cold next time and see what happens.
