driverswanted1992 10 Posted February 24, 2011 since i bought my 92 vr6 corrado it has had a mystery noise coming from the right side of the engine..just dawned on me the other day that it could be the timing chains on there way out?? its kind of a ticking/slapping noise and you can only hear it at idle...the mileage on the motor is unknown beacuse its not the original..i dont really have the money to fix it right now and im just curious how long i have till they NEED to be done i drive it very easy but i put about 300 miles a week on it... Reggit 0 Posted February 24, 2011 A slapping noise - especially off the throttle on overrun is usually indicative of a chain flapping around.
