stereoflaver 0 Posted May 28, 2011 My Corrado crunches when coming to a stop and selecting 1st gear when not at a total standstill, also when goin from reverse to first whiles still going backwards. Is this the synco going and has anyone else had it happen ? Would changing the gearbox oil help ?

krnau 0 Posted May 31, 2011 same here! I have to select "a bit" of 2nd, then straight into 1st. This way it does not crunch at all ;) I'm so used to do this, that I even do it when driving any other car!!
CazzaVR 0 Posted May 31, 2011 May just need a little adjustment. Check this thread: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?32297-gear-linkage-adjustment Well worth changing the oil for Redline MT90 or Castrol SMX-S (available in Halfords). Oil is easy to change. Also worth checking the gearbox mount and swapping it for the MK2 Golf Deisel mount.
