MNuTz 0 Posted June 17, 2011 Just having a quick look over the car today for the vag-com connector I noticed the clutch pedal was quite far down, pushed it and moved about 1cm. Put my foot under pedal, and pulled it up level with the others, then went to push down and THUMP, it just whacks back down even with the slightest touch. Just a faulty pedal, or clutch issues ? :(
t700bes 1 Posted June 17, 2011 You may just need to bleed your clutch fluid... I know I had this problem, the clutch and brake fluid are all the "same".. I had the same problem and it turned out to be this... If the fluid is not gone, it may also be the lil bit that the clutch pipe goes onto (ontop of the gearbox)... Hope that helps! :)
G60Luke 0 Posted June 17, 2011 Worth checking you clutch slave cylinder for leaks, just undo the two bolts that hold it to the g/box and pull it out slightly to check
MNuTz 0 Posted June 17, 2011 thanks, gives me a couple of things to check. I'll add it to the "things to do list" that seems to be getting ever larger
Andy T 0 Posted June 17, 2011 Could also be the clutch master cylinder (pedal end) starting to leak. Bleeding the clutch will help and will probably last for ages until the pedal starts to drop again.
