P3rks 11 Posted September 2, 2011 I'm putting in a fresh subframe/wishbones with new poly bushes all around on my G60, so I might as well change the tie rods and bottom ball joints at the same time. Are OE preferred or will pattern parts from GSF etc suffice? Such as febi etc?
owen g60 10 Posted September 2, 2011 I would check out vwspares they seen to be best and very similar price to euro car parts and gsf
P3rks 11 Posted September 2, 2011 Yeah, I use VW spares all the time.. Are the Pattern parts as good quality as OE stuff though? I know pattern parts are hit and miss and I don't want to do this job again in 6 months time etc.
davidwort 0 Posted September 2, 2011 VW spares track rods I bought were FEBI, but definitely not OEM quality. They were cheap, about £20 each complete with track rod ends, and they improved the steering no-end, they've not developed play or anything but the rods themselves rusted pretty quick with one winters use. P3rks 11 Posted September 2, 2011 Hmmm.. As long as they don't break or wear prematurely. Changing parts like this is a ball-ache as tracking needs doing afterwards.
boost monkey 0 Posted September 2, 2011 the whole of my front end is VW Spares stock and it drives spot on (although the suspension is VAG parts with Boge gas shockers).
