Got fed up struggling to check my fluids with my brace in the way !

So I made this

5284ede9-8f66-2e41.jpg

High tensile stainless, with a five minute polish !

Here it is fitted

5284ede9-8fd3-ccef.jpg

Just take the "R" clip out, pull pin, lift one end of the brace,

Hey Presto ! Check fluids, and reversal just takes seconds !

Fibre washers keep it tight, and stop the rattles ! May make another for the other side, forgot how much I enjoy playing with my lathe and welder !

Put my spoonfed clock faces, and illuminated needles together on one of my spare clock sets. The pic doesn't show the true green, more oem. The needles don't glare as in pic.

Really pleased how it's come out,

Away this weekend,so will fit soon !

After 17 years my old alarm and immobiliser died !

I just couldn't get used to opening the doors with the key.So I checked out the good alarm fitters thread, A call to Andy at Trim Wizards was made,

Cobra alarm and immobiliser all fitted, too bloke,I can't praise him enough

Good news is,I can open the doors as God intended, without a key !

Little update,my central locking was playing up,sometimes it would unlock, other times it wouldn't ! Swapped the pump over with a spare I had in my shed, all sorted.

Swapped my rear coil over this morning, can't believe the price of KW variants, and the fact it only lasted 20k !

I hope this is a freak occurrence,

New and old together,

Old one stripped !

On a brighter note, odometer clicked over to 169k , 127k is all mine

Didn't like the look of my American side markers,

56850a9c-b3da-f53c.jpg

So I tinted my spare ones with some subtle tint (Lamin-x) what I had left over from when I tinted the rear indicators

56850a9c-b454-8a40.jpg

Better! But just not quite right,so I ordered some gun smoke tint, this time I filed all the lettering and stamps of the lenses,a lesson I learnt from doing the rears !

Side be side shot,before fitment

Looks far better then what the camera says, now I'm happy

Hi Bryan, sorry it's taken so long for me to come say hi but.. hi. This really does look as mint in the flash as the photos suggest - possibly the polar opposite of mine! Keep up the good work on it! Still haven't been home to put those sill covers on.. gotta love working in Germany!
