bmcc 10 Posted January 4, 2012 Drove car to a friends and noticed bulb was out, so went to change the bulb but couldnt get decent access to it due to lack of light and ****ing it with rain, but now car wont start. I dont know if i have pulled out a sensor when i was pulling loom out the way, i noticed there was a small blue plug not into anything, thin wire and running where airbox would have been but it has some sort of twin induction thing of the supercharger in place now, i couldnt see if i had disconnected it as the rain was horrendous, but looking for anyone who has got any ideas what may have went wrong, checked the fuses but they seemed fine
seanl82 23 Posted January 4, 2012 Could be a damp/wet dizzy or coil if you had the bonnet up whilstit was belting down. Spray a load of wd40 around electrical parts and check inside the dizzy for wetness when the rain stops.
bmcc 10 Posted January 4, 2012 never even thought of that to be honest!
Wild-Animal 0 Posted January 4, 2012 Also the plug for the dizzy could have come loose. Mine has a bad connection and if I knock it ever so slightly mine wont start. Its situated below the dizzy make sure its clipped in right and tight.
bmcc 10 Posted January 4, 2012 will have a good look at it tomorrow, what are chances of it drying out overnight and potentially starting in the morning?
Supercharged 2 Posted January 4, 2012 Might be best to spray some WD40 in there now... As per the manual you really need to remove headlights for bulb changes
