No fire?

Recommended Posts

Just got back from holiday this morning :(

Anyway, my valvers been stood for eight days - and this morning it just wouldn't fire, it just kept turning over and over and over (30 seconds plus) making the wheezy noise when it just doesn't want to fire???? Then a real stink of petrol.

I changed the inlet manifold last month, and thereafter reset the timing and had the mixture adjusted - it was doing it a little before, but not this bad. Weird thing is when i stopped the ignition it made an effort to fire :!:

Any ideas anyone :!: ?

sounds like over fuelling maybe?

or ignition problem.

have you got a decent spark at each plug lead?

edit:attempting to fire late does sound timing or over fueling related.

Miune does this from time to time as well...Check the hall sensor under the distributor. if it ain't connectiing, it just won't go.

I've used a zip tie to really bind it up as the clip is a bit bust.

Yeah nzgti is right! Check your hall sensor and wiring! I am pretty sure that it is a ignition problem! Try to start the car with the main high voltage plug out of the dizzy and aproach it to nearest ground to see if there´s a spark! If so... then check the rotor, dizzy cap, wiring cables to spark plugs... Stay in touch! :)
