Bishbosh1 10 Posted March 2, 2012 Hi guys i recently brought a N reg storm VR6 in classic green and love everything about it. I only intended using it in the dry as a 2nd car but at the moment cant stop driving it as it puts a massive smile on my face! It come with 16" aftermarket alloys fitted but as i prefer the standard look i decided to have the originals refurbed and refitted as you can see in the photo's. Im looking forward to catching up with as many of you as possible on here and at shows to discuss everything 'C'!!! :thumbleft:
axcel01uk 0 Posted March 2, 2012 Nice car looks like a good one, good choice on going back to standard with the wheels. No what you mean when I first got mine just wanted to drive it all the time and still get that same buzz years later.
scarlet_vr6 0 Posted March 3, 2012 looks nice, welcome! Me too, 6+ years on and I still smile everytime I drive mine :D
Bishbosh1 10 Posted March 3, 2012 Thanks, mechanically and electrical everything works as it should do but just needs the interior having a good clean and a few tiny rust spots sorting out on the bodywork. Really pleased with it though
Bishbosh1 10 Posted March 10, 2012 Hi guys and girls, Can anybody recommend where to take my VR6 storm to have some engine tuning and mods done in the midlands area? I'm looking at maybe a schrick manifold and cams, or can u recommend any alternative mods to raise the torque? Bish
owen g60 10 Posted March 10, 2012 Stealth Racing would be youre best bet for all things corrado
Jim 2 Posted March 10, 2012 You're closer to DG Autotech based in Kidderminster / Droitwich Spa.. so they're probably a more convenient bet! Either them or Stealth Racing in Southam. You're pretty well situated for some well reputed Corrado specialists :) Cams and a remap will see a good improvement in bottom end grunt and all round drivability for sub £1000.. A Schrick VGI is a costly option.. for what it gives you vs what it costs you, it's really debatable how worthwhile an upgrade it is!
scarlet_vr6 0 Posted March 10, 2012 Despite DG being a 200+ mile round trip for me, I always take my C there. Great service and workmanship, and I've received lots of good advice over the last couple of years too. I've never thought about taking my C anywhere else since first going there. As Jim says you're ideally located for them or Stealth. That's my only complaint - they're not close enough to me!! Bishbosh1 10 Posted March 12, 2012 Thanks for the good advice, took my car to show Graham at DG today. Its now booked in for a major service, DG cams and a remap in 2 weeks time. Cant wait!! Bish :thumbleft:
scarlet_vr6 0 Posted March 12, 2012 Good news and I know Graham will do a great job! Cams and remap are on my to do list too (hopefully I won't have to wait too long) so I'll be interested to hear your views once you've stopped driving long enough to post :) edit: why don't you start a thread in the Members' Gallery if you haven't done so already, so you can post all the progress you make :)
