Jim Bowen 1 Posted April 14, 2012 Anyone recommend one? Seen some pliers that are £15-£20 or more decent looking ones at about £50. Want to get a proper tool to do them boot clip rather than using cable ties. I see some types come with their own style of banding and then clips so you cut to length rather than use the VW clips
anne t 10 Posted April 14, 2012 is this the tool for tightening the steel tie wrap on the boot itself i got one from demon tweeks £15 but remember the bigger the tool its harder to reach under car just read this back to myself awaiting smart comments:cheers:
Jim Bowen 1 Posted April 14, 2012 Yeah its that tool i'm after. I think if the tool is really large its best to go for the reacharound :)

G60_Marc 0 Posted April 14, 2012 This is what you need, cheap too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STOCK-CLEARANCE-SEALEY-HOSE-CLIP-PLIERS-COOLING-SYSTEM-PLIERS-FUEL-LINE-PLIERS-/360450260695?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item53ec827ed7#ht_2242wt_916 I have the same one, works perfect on genuine vw cv boot clamps. :thumbleft:
