JMC 0 Posted June 6, 2012 I know the MOT regs with regards to CAT's have changed recently, however what's people experiences with the older Corrados (pre 93) in real life since these new regs have come in? From memory, if the car was registered before August 92 (which mine is) then it doesn't need to have an emissions test during the MOT. Does the CAT point still apply - mine has not had a VW exhaust from when I owned it so I have no idea whether it had a CAT or not.
Jim 2 Posted June 6, 2012 Mine was a J reg, with a cat bypass, and I had no problems at all with the MOT. I think up to a J reg you're OK and after that, not!
owen g60 10 Posted June 6, 2012 Anything on a j or earlier doesn't need a cat. I miss this by 4 days :@ and am on a k plate. Although a friendly mot man may let it slide
