mookie 0 Posted July 25, 2012 I've been poking about in my engine bay and pulled off this plug on the valve between the head and the inlet pipe However inside of the grey socket, I see this: You can clearly see it's blank inside... no metal contacts for the two pin plug to actually plug into just two plastic stubs... can someone explain to me why this is? Jim Bowen 1 Posted July 25, 2012 I can't remember why but do remember it being said that its normal on UK cars
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted July 25, 2012 In colder climates that would be a heater, but for warmer climates it's a blank and perfectly normal. Yes, Britain is classed as a warm climate :D
Critical_Mass 10 Posted July 25, 2012 Ah so thats what the spare plug is for near the throttle body. I know the fake sensor on the PCV is normal, but wasnt sure what the plug with no home was for. Didnt seem to affect anything so didnt fuss about it. Cheers!
mookie 0 Posted July 25, 2012 So is that sensor delete-able? I would assume so... one less wire and connection to worry about!
Critical_Mass 10 Posted July 25, 2012 I wouldnt bother the plug isnt doing anything so shouldnt cause any problem.
lilfuzzer 1 Posted July 25, 2012 Is there still a current going to that or is there a relay needed for power going to it
