Johnny H 0 Posted October 19, 2012 Hi guys. I'm thinking about getting some new suspension for my VR but I'm looking for a good ride hight (not to low) and comfort for a daily drive aswel. So I think coilovers are out the question but not sure what will be a good set up? I've got koni on at the mo but its a bit of a hard ride. Has anyone got any good idea?? Thanks Johnny
Human Joist 10 Posted October 19, 2012 Gotta be honest mate don't rule out coilovers. I was dead against them myself as had bought cars with cheap sets on them in the past even my current raddo had cheapies to start with. However when I came to replace mine i wanted to go lower than stock but not too low as running wide wheels. So went for KW V1 and to be truthful they are great not too hard considering what the Corrado is. No matter what you have it won't be super comfy. Critical_Mass 10 Posted October 19, 2012 Koni shocks with H&R springs are a popular choice.
Johnny H 0 Posted October 19, 2012 Koni shocks with H&R springs are a popular choice. Do they sell them for the VR mate?? Just looked on venom Motorsport and they only sell them for 1.8 & G60 not the VR6.
Johnny H 0 Posted October 20, 2012 Have been looking at KW v1's. Looks like a good set up and could give a good ride for a daily car. I'm not going to take to the track so don't need the adjustable damper.
Rob_B 0 Posted October 20, 2012 What's your budget and what do you want most? Ride comfort? Handling? Looks?
Johnny H 0 Posted October 20, 2012 Prob about £600-£700. Would like it to be a nice ride not to hard cause its my daily and not to low.
Rob_B 0 Posted October 20, 2012 If you aren't going low then comfort will obviously be improved. If you can get damping adjustment then I would. Not sure about the damping on kw v1. I would imagine they are quite hard. Anyone local to you with a set on?

Johnny H 0 Posted October 20, 2012 Got Koni/H&R combo on mine- love it! I've already got koni with koni springs on mine. So if I got some H&R they will go on fine? How does yours ride Andy?
toledo 0 Posted October 21, 2012 Anyone tried a Bilstein B12 Pro Kit Suspension Kit - VW Corrado 1.8 16v, 1.8 G60, 2.0i, 2.0i 16v, 2.9 VR6 09/88 > 12/95 25-30mm F, 25mm R £570 these are supplied with Eibach Pro kit springs and i happen to know that the MD at Eibach has a Rado Vr6 so i would expect they have had some valuable R&D time put into them ? CazzaVR 0 Posted October 21, 2012 I've already got koni with koni springs on mine. So if I got some H&R they will go on fine? How does yours ride Andy? They will go straight on mate. Rides well- Lewvw reckoned they were much nicer than his Weitec coilovers when he was passenger a while back. It's comfy enough, yet firm when it needs to be. I use it daily on crappy country roads and it's very sure-footed, yet comfy enough.
