Rams 0 Posted November 8, 2012 Have people successfully installed the chrome door pulls without it hitting the plastic housing when opening? I'm not happy with the fit, tried shaving plastic but it doesn't return properly. A few places are selling them saying no mods needed but I'm wondering if another companies chrome door pull is a nicer fit that the one I have otherwise they are going back to standard plastic and be re trimmed. fla 9 Posted November 8, 2012 mine still get stuck on the closing stroke, and the best i've found is to lube them slightly every so often. Wouldnt retrimming the originals make them larger and hence create the problem you're trying to avoid? You're the trimming guru so perhaps i'm missing something! Rams 0 Posted November 8, 2012 Fla, I could probably get the leather nice and tight and think there's more room with the plastic ones. The question about the different companies making these chrome pulls were to try and determine if folks have fitted them without the rubbing/catching and where they bought them? I was on the ARZ site yesterday and spotted them but don't want to order them incase the same happens. The other 3 or 4 sites I saw them being advertised and they all say for late interior and no modification required! Anyone else got them fitted?
