Ruggy 10 Posted January 23, 2013 Im looking at changing the exhaust on my 8v, it's currently got a Scorpion cat back system with DTM tailpipes, nothing wrong with the exhaust or the sound of it etc, just really don't like the style of the tailpipe. Are the exhausts the same to for all late model cars from the cat back? Or will I need I need to find one made specifically for the 8v? Going to looking for a 2nd hand one due to cost and if I can fit ones from all models it widens my search. Cheers
stuarttaylor37 13 Posted January 23, 2013 When I changed mine I was told by the dealer that the 2e/ady 8v exhaust was now obsolete but the abv one would fit. So I think any system from a post 92 car should fit?

Ruggy 10 Posted January 25, 2013 Thanks for the link but Bristol is a little too far to travel from West Yorkshire to pick one up. Also looking for something other than standard. Cheers anyway
bristolbaron 10 Posted January 25, 2013 have you got a local exhaust specialist? I had a car with tailpipes i didn't like and my local place was happy to change the tips only for about £60-£80. Noise etc would've been exactly the same as the system would've been untouched, but looking a lot better. Could be worth considering..

Hadn't really thought of that, something definitely to look in to. Cheers mate
