PhatVR6 0 Posted May 6, 2004 The pedal comes back up, but just before it comes right to the top it sticks for a split second then pops up onto the stop. huh? smae master and slave cylinder that's always been in thecar, and it's all been bled properly. Kevin Bacon 5 Posted May 6, 2004 Jees...you still plugging away then! Only 2 days to go  Could be a sticky pedal, a wear groove in the master cylinder if the previous folks rested their foot on the clutch, wear groove on the slave and lastly, iffy pressure plate springs. But I doubt the latter as you've had the engine in pieces and rebuilt it.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted May 6, 2004 Actaully, thinking about it, it's probably the slave cause you've put a new cltuch in and therefore the piston in the slave is moving further out and binding on the wear groove. Sound plausible? New slaves are plastic to get round that problem.
PhatVR6 0 Posted May 6, 2004 It's a brand new clutch and flywheel. it's never been used.
dr_mat 0 Posted May 6, 2004 It's more likely to be the trim just above the pedals not quite sitting properly. I had the same problem the other week, sometimes I had to squeeze the pedal over to one side to pull it back past the nick on the trim.
Mike Edwards 0 Posted May 6, 2004 Seconded. A junior hacksaw will sort it...
