Johnny H 0 Posted May 5, 2013 Hi guys. I've brought these of someone I know who said they where mk4 golf rears. So when the car was the garage I asked if they could fit them but they said said they wasn't the right ones. Could someone have a look and tell me if they are or not please. Johnny H 0 Posted May 5, 2013 Then why couldn't they fit them with the new lines I brought. They said the lines were to short to fit these callipers?
swampy 0 Posted May 5, 2013 They probably looked at the lines attached and the lines you supplied and as they are different length said that. But the way the fit. Is different, as you have a short flexi, then a bracket that holds a rigid metal pioe
dumptyboy 0 Posted May 5, 2013 You need mk4 conversion lines to fit them. They need a banjo bolt fitment. Google mk4 brake conversion. Hope that helps.
delfinis38 1 Posted May 5, 2013 (edited) Also they won't fit with the Mk4 carriers which the calipers are attached to in the picture as they are a different pitch. you need to use the corrado carriers. make sure the calipers have a 38mm piston. not 32mm (polo) or 41mm which is golf estate Edited May 5, 2013 by delfinis38

GrahamU 6 Posted May 5, 2013 To be sure, whats the part number on them
Dox 23 Posted May 5, 2013 MK4s don't have the external helper springs. These were removed from my own mk4 and sold to Fla ---------- Post added at 9:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:52 PM ---------- If they are MK4 (and I doubt it) you need to fit them with the original corrado carriers as the mk4 carriers have different hole spacing where it bolts to the axle
