p0l1wrath 10 Posted May 14, 2013 Hello, i purchased a stainless exhaust manifold recently but didnt realise OBDI and OBDII manifolds are different, me having an OBDI car and the manifold being OBDII, i need to plug the, what i can assume are the lambda sensor wholes Does anyone know or can anyone find out the lambda sensor thread, so i can make sure i get something that fits correctly? Cheers :)

p0l1wrath 10 Posted May 14, 2013 Wicked mate :) do you know the depth by any chance? I want the plug sitting flush :)
science 0 Posted May 14, 2013 (edited) OBD 1&2 Inlet Manifolds are different. Exhaust manifolds are the same. So your Lambda should fit fine! It's OBD1 right? If not you will have problems as the lambda sensors have different electrical plugs between OBD 1&2. OBD 1 plug has squarish corners. OBD 2 plug has rounded connector. I've used OBD2 lambda on my OBD1 car and just swapped the connector over. ---------- Post added at 3:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:20 PM ---------- Ignore that, I miss read your first post! I thought the second hole was for another lamdba sensor for an afr gauge. From memory my plug blank was 15mm long on the the treads. fla 9 Posted August 14, 2014 right, next problem, i have some connector removal tools (even the blue VW one) but cant get the pins out of the connector. Is there any other way to do it without totally butchering the connector?
