Jim Bowen 1 Posted June 20, 2013 Just something people may want to check out. I fitted that bonnet foam from the group buy, its been on since about December 2012 and has been fine. But with the hot weather we had yesterday, i happened to notice when lifting the bonnet that all the glue holding it on had softened and three of the bits had mostly come off and just hanging down onto the engine  Which was nice! g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted June 20, 2013 which glue did you use to hold the new stuff on jim? & any recommendations or hints about how you removed your old stuff......im hoping to do mine in the next few weeks :)
Jim Bowen 1 Posted June 20, 2013 I used the glue it said to use on the instructions and took a while to find a place that sold it as well. Think it was 3M #80 Spray adhesive. I just used white spirits to remove the old glue, once you have pulled the foam off you have a layer of glue, i just spent a while softening it with white spirts then scraping it off with a credit card or plastic ice scraper. Takes quite a bit of time, but cleans up like new.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 20, 2013 White spirits? Girl :D Crack open the manly glue thinners and do it in a tenth of the time! Trouble is, it's difficult buying chemicals these days because of all the junkie glue sniffers.
