Mrs Badcrumble 2.0 16v....

Recommended Posts

Damn, can't seem to find that thread.

The guy of ed38 is it raj? think i have a pic of his inlet somewhere, I am sure he used a cusom plate instead of the lower section of a valver manifold to weld onto.

The diff in weights between inlets is surprising!

It is raj yes. Was going to find out if he could modify my manifold for me...

Already got some pictures of his manifold as well!

Some updates

Just had to change the ignition switch, as it was getting really dodgey, and what a total tw@t it is to get out too!! Used the guide on the Wiki, though and thank god for the cushion idea!!

Here's the old one

The clip that holds the end of the bonnet release has also snapped, and the bugger is obsolete. Bloody VW!

Have got a mate who is breaking one so he's sending me the clip next week :)

This is after replacing the side bolster material

Gonna get one of my mate's missus to stitch in a new panel to repair the hole, then I'll have a near minty black interior!

Once that's done got to get the following sorted.....

Get a set of 95-96 toledo heater controls or standard corrado ones

2 x ABS sensors

Moonroof, to fix my broken one / replacement cables

Then back on with the MS conversion... 8)

LOL - Always something that needs doing!

Keep an eye out on the bay for the ABS sensors, I lucked out and managed to pick up a rear one for £16 a few weeks back.

To be fair dude, that stuff has been like that for ages, I've just been putting it off and thinking about making it go faster

Thought about getting other stuff sorted out first.....

Replaced the headlight stalk tonight with one that doesn't turn the lights off when you put the headlights on

Good stuff Stu.

Have you checked out the current Alpha release of the extra code for MSII?

Thinking of giving it a go on the VR when it's all running again. Which should be very soon!

How are you going to fit the trigger wheel?

I haven't, but I'm going to be running MSnS with the High res code.

How are you going to fit the trigger wheel?

Going to weld the bugger onto the crank pulley. Mate of mine has just fitted a MegaJolt to his 16v on carbs and there is two mounting hols on the back of the block that are perfect to use to mount the hall sensor.

Just been quotes £130 for the innovate LC-1 with Sensor, controller, PC cable and weld in bung, which I thought was a pretty good price! Then £50 for the relay board. Got to wait until next month for that though, unless I can sell about 5 shift light kits!!

I saw one of these on a C at the Bristol meet yesterday, really nice mod. Passat estate isn't it??

I believe so. Although Passat saloon and Seat Toledo units also reportedly fit. The estate is supposed to be the better unit to buy because it lies flatter in the roof, ergo less wind noise.

I hope that's the case anyway, cos I've bought one too.

Mr Beige I'll attack that pulley later and get postal on it's ass....
