I guess you are looking for a used part which may also be worn out! If you are lucky some dealer may still have a new one for about £14. If not, it can be obtained from classic parts in Germany. I paid about £25 for this last summer, obtained via my local dealer: part no 536955325.

VW Heritage site says its available from classic parts, Germany for £14.78 plus £3.95 postage with 2 to 3 weeks delivery. They are often rather slow!!

I guess you've not seen the number of other threads on this part. The door scraper seal. One side available from ARZ tuning at 80 euro's (!), the other side is obsolete. I just sold a brand new pair I had in the garage to another forum member earlier this week for £100..

I belive you can purchase both sides through VW Heritage,

this includes the outer black scraper seal and the plastic inner seal.

The only one I can't see / find on their site is the O/S/F inner seal ??

a part from that these parts you can get hold of NEW.

N/S/F outer scraper seal £41.36 part n.o 535837473A 01C (in stock)

O/S/F outer scraper seal £53.13 part n.o 535837474A 01C (in stock)

N/S/F inner plastic seal £26.67 part n.o 535837475 01C (in stock)

O/S/F inner plastic seal £ ?? part n.o 535837476 01C ???? Not sure about this one

I ordered some bits from them takes about 3 weeks to get to your door.

Hope this helps.

I've managed to locate a company who might be able to reproduce the nylon bushes,

which push / snap into the wiper linkage arms, i.e the link arms.

This company is based in Surry,

and they can fabricate up new moulds for almost any rubber / nylon bush sample,

they call it Custom Moulding, as long as they've got a sample,

they believe it could be done.

I've got hold of some half decent bushes off a Corrado as samples,

which includes both the cap socket type and the hollow push on type,

the hollow push on type are the ones on the small special shaped link arm,

which is connected to the O/S/F wiper and the wiper motor link,

and the cap socket type are the ones in the large linkage arm.

So I'll see if they will be able to do this.

The large link arm that is connected to both the wipers,

this you can still purchase from VW Heritage,

but the small one is no longer made from what everyone has said,

but JON_VR6 is kindly looking into the small link arm issue with VW Heritage / Classic Parts.

But as a back up I've tried to find a company in the UK that makes these snap in fit bushes,

but it seems no one does, only the link arms are made by each individual vehicle manufacture.

I found a few companies over in the USA that do make the link arm bushes,

but they are only for the American GM vehicles and a few Toyota's and Nissan's,

nothing for the German vehicle side of things.

I'll be speaking to this company in Surry on Monday 28th October 2013,

so I'll report back with what they say.

Top work Si, it seems like the best option long term if the nylon bushes can be made separately. These linkages are Rhd specific so cant see them being reproduced again.

Right just a quick up date,

the company I had contacted originally couldn't do what they thought,

so it came to a dead end.

But I've located another company that specialize in fabricating wiper systems,

these they make from scratch and are made for trains, kit cars, sports cars.

They make them out of alloy,

looks like each link arm is a alloy tube and has a female thread at each end,

then they screw a rose joint bearing in at each end of the alloy tube link arm,

complete with locking nuts,

the rose joint is secured in place by a shouldered bolt.

This would be a much better and stronger joint,

well we wouldn't have the hassle of lose bushes like on the original set up.

I'll give them a call and see what they could do,

it might be just to fabricate the small link arm,

or have a complete wiper system fabricated up,

with the light weight alloy tubing and the rose joints.

I've also sent an email to VW Classic Parts in Germany just as a back up,

to see what the availability is,

as I might be able to purchase a batch of the original small link arms.

Just a quick update.

I've managed to order a batch of the small wiper arm linkages,

the part n.o of which is 536-955-325 these are only for RHD Corrado's.

A total of 8 have been ordered, 2 of which are spoken for.

I've been told 100% 8 are on order, but they might be able to send 10.

Any of you guys and girls that need one I will be happy to sell at my cost price,

these will be £15.52 each.

It will take about 3 to 4 weeks I was told until I receive these linkage arms,

which were ordered today at 5:07pm.

This will be on a first come first serv basis,

so far there will be 6 to sell in total,

but might be 8 if they confirm.

I might be able to purchase another batch in the near future.

I'll post up here once this first batch arrives,

which will be in about 3 to 4 weeks time.

Many thanks.
