manifold for 2.0 16v

hi guys i need a manifold for a 2.0 16v as mine has a hairline crack in it happy to have a standard replacement thanks ross

I've probably got one, if not I know i should have the larger 1.8 KR one, I'll check later when I finish work. Where are you based?

exhaust manifold got the usual problem of them cracking because their cast metal

right guys if you do have one any chance of posting it asap as im leaving for cornwall on tuesday next week and would like to do it before if possible also wheres the best place to buy the gasket thanks ross

Gasket, id say gsf or euro car parts.

 

Are you sure the crack is a problem, I think mine has some small hairline cracks, but it didn't leak. Mine has had some welding done about 7 years ago because I gas flowed it.

 

If you are interested I could meet you at lakeside on Saturday. Do you want me to post up some photos. The reason its for sale is because I now gave a tubular manifold.

some pictures would be good. I think my cracks leaking because if you turn the blowers on it smells a bit fumey also its white around the crack thanks ross

Hi Ross, I'm trying to avoid commenting on your leaking crack :)

 

I had a good look at my manifold this morning, and I don't think it will be of interest to you. For speed your best bet may be to find a local specialist welder to repair yours. Welding cast items such as this apparently requires heating of the part to a very high temperature before welding, to reduce localised expansion, stresses and cracks.

 

As you can see, mine has cracks also...
