james153 0 Posted August 19, 2013 Hello all, As many of you who have tried to find and install heated seats know the biggest pain is finding and paying extortionate amounts of money for the heated seat control relays. So when trying to fix a friends heated seats up the other day we came up with a solution. (see attached picture) Essentially it involves mounting mk4 heated seat switches in the centre console, these already have the resistors built in so no special relays are needed. All I did was changed the illumination over to green and made up a mk4 heated seat loom to fit a Corrado. So, what we have here is a pair of switches, green illuminated and a complete loom to wire up your heated seats. All you need now are the seats. Price is £75 posted. Dox 23 Posted August 19, 2013 Have you checked out the Octavia switches? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-OCTAVIA-MK1-HEATED-SEAT-SWITCH-1U0-963-563B-/231010817774?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35c95156ee
james153 0 Posted August 19, 2013 I'm sure a little shim could be made to widen the switch. I reckon they will fit pretty well in an early centre console. The Octavia switch looks like it will need relays. Well worth a check out though. Ta
