Chaff 0 Posted September 4, 2013 I'm after a heater control for a late (1994) corrado. Just like this, but not broken.
VR6Pete 0 Posted September 4, 2013 What's broken on it mate
Chaff 0 Posted September 4, 2013 It's the directional control on the left, pretty sure something has snapped underneath the lower cog.
VR6Pete 0 Posted September 5, 2013 It would just be the lower cog that has worn / popped out or snapped, it has the same plastic type runner thing underneath. You can take the cog out and inspect :) I'm looking at getting these made up in billet alloy
Chaff 0 Posted September 5, 2013 Sounds good! How do you take it apart? I can't work it out at all, all seems very much fixed in place.

leon263 0 Posted September 6, 2013 I'm breaking a VR6 Golf at present and the heater control panel, minus the actual knobs and face plate, is available for spares if you can work out how to dismantle yours. Let me know.
P3rks 11 Posted September 6, 2013 MK3 Golf ones won't work. It's a reversed mechanism.
Chaff 0 Posted September 6, 2013 Thanks anyway Leon.
Chaff 0 Posted September 7, 2013 I've pulled it apart and this is the only part that seems to be broken, I'm hoping some glue holds it...but I think that's wishful thinking.
Chaff 0 Posted September 8, 2013 I've managed to repair it with some super glue followed by some Q-Bond, though I've gone a bit overboard with it and the lower metal arm now can't travel all the way, so I'm going to need to grind some of the excess plastic away so it clears it. Seems nice and strong though!
