ray_vr6 1 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) Finally got round to changing the gearbox oil (Redline MT90). There is no record in the service log or fairly comprehensive paper work of it having ever been done so after 24 years I guess it probably needed it! The process was straightforward enough and the gear change is defo better - there was a bit of a crunch going into 1st and reverse when cold and that has gone - just need to fit one of Dave's short shift when I can afford it! VAG-hag 0 Posted February 8, 2014 Well worth doing and cheap/ easy too!
Goldie 2 Posted February 8, 2014 I don't know what the recommended oil change interval is for the gearbox, was it a lifetime of the car thing? Always worth changing though...
seanl82 23 Posted February 8, 2014 Yeah there was no book interval to change it. Well worth doing though. I changed mine using MT90 last year.
