Erallus 10 Posted June 28, 2014 Hi all, Hopefully just a quick one. I'm looking at changing my ISV today. I've cleaned the replacement with carb cleaner, I remember reading somewhere on here that I also need to lubricate it with a little oil. Is that true, if so do I just put a few drops inside, let it work its way around? Cheers
floppyman 0 Posted June 28, 2014 I wouldnt put any oil on it.... theres allways oil in the intake so some of it will end in the isv. Thats why they end up so dirty anyways
fla 9 Posted June 29, 2014 Actually I would oil it albeit lightly. Then pulse 12v to it a few times to make sure the flap moves smoothly.
