Is it a new item mate? The reason I need one is because it's bent.

No, it's the one I took off mine that I had stripped + re-zinc plated along with some other items.

 

You'd probably be better off getting a new one from VW Heritage/Classic parts then.

I'll get one ordered up. As it happens I can't open my bonnet at the moment as the clip has broken on the release handle so have a gruven parts clamp on order
