Jim Bowen 1 Posted August 25, 2014 The POR15 stuff is the toughest paint I've used. Out of all the different stuff I've used it's the one that's lasted best. Just don't use it on bodywork imo. Really hard to wet sand before paint.

Roger Chatfield 0 Posted August 25, 2014 Hammerite smooth mate, cant go wrong with Hammerite and you can paint it straight onto rust. Rog.
seanl82 23 Posted August 25, 2014 If you can put it back on until everything goes for powder coating Rob, I'd do the sump too. It won't cost much more than a tin of hammerite anyway.

robrado974 1 Posted August 26, 2014 Thanks for the comments , I may well have to leave the powder coating of the sump . I did this job first as I wanted to start at the front and work my way back . I can't move the car until it's back on .
Supercharged 2 Posted August 26, 2014 Hammerite smooth mate, cant go wrong with Hammerite and you can paint it straight onto rust. Rog. It's oil based though so no good for engines / sumps really...
