shire38 10 Posted August 27, 2014 Hi Folks after a little advice, i have a very slight misfire on my VR6, I am going to start by changing ignition leads i bought some from GSF about 6 months ago and to be honest there not a good fit and difficullt to get them to clip onto sparkplug, anyway i have some Beru leads on the way ans also some NGK BKR5E plugs, what i don't know and cant seem to find on the forum is what the gap in these plugs should be. Any advice would be appreciated.
Mawrick 0 Posted August 31, 2014 Looks like there is some info here: http://www.tdnparts.com/products/NGK-BKR5E.html * we recommend re-gapping for 'your' vehicle (.030 stock AAA) - I presume this is ment for the 2.8 VR6 (AAA) - but would guess the 2.9 ABV would be the same ?. VW_OwneR_85 2 Posted August 31, 2014 if you don't get results with new leads , look at the maf sensor next, swapping it over with a friends will be the quickest way to check it...

Jim Bowen 1 Posted September 2, 2014 I use the lead removal tool to push the leads back onto the plugs. Makes it a bit easier.
