mrginge 0 Posted November 26, 2014 Sorry if I'm being an idiot but I searched and couldn't find a concrete answer. I got an alloy sump from the group buy on here, bought the sealant but not sure if I need new sump bolts. I'm sure I read before to get bolts from a 24v but I don't want to waste money at the dealership on pointless bolts. Thanks.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted November 26, 2014 Think I just used the standard ones. There are long and short versions. I think the hex head style are the longer ones and allen keys ones shorter.
GlosterOx 0 Posted November 26, 2014 According to Vagcat the 24V Sump uses a M6 x 20 Allen Key Head Bolt. Ian.
VAG-hag 0 Posted November 27, 2014 I re used my original ones. Make sure you remove the fly guard prior to offering up the new sump with sealant on it :)
science 0 Posted November 27, 2014 I've kept the 12v rubber gasket, and so used longer cap head screws to suit M6x22 (I think?) with a shake proof washer. They are also easier to install than hex bolts.
