White VR6 in Windy Yorkshire! :)

Recommended Posts

Just tested my dash speakers using a 9v battery:

Nothing.

So they are dead?

Also

Unsure if I can find a replacement light switch loom.

If not,

Does anyone know what spec wire I need to replace the brown one?

Persevere with finding a loom, it looks burnt out up to the pin so will need replacing from there.

Oh

Ok, Sean ...

Rained overnight ...

The sunroof leaks this morning :( :( :(

From driver drain tube...

From driver rear drain tube...

Is it safe to disconnect the drain tubes (attached to sunroof),

Pull it off and poke a coat hanger in???

Will anything break by taking it off?

Or it s supposed to leak?

Lots of rain - but i wouldnt say its heavy ...

My sunroof drains are fine :thumbleft:

So why the leak around the front AND rear drain outlets??? :bonk:

I wish it was that easy, Rob!

One member did that and snap/broke his perfectly working spare sunroof

On eBay a seller did that and also snap/broke the sunroof he was selling

I did that (see link below)

And i do NOT want to be at a point sunroof can NOT be closed again :shocked!:

OMG Wayne, you have kids so probably have the tool to see if water can get out.....A water pistol (failing this a squeezy bottle)

Pull drain pipes off (like you did to shove the cable through) and at point blank, squirt water inside them and check if it gets outside. Have a cloth handy as you may just fill the pipe with water.

Thanks Stuart

I have a feeling its not the tubes - but water just sitting there (maybe dirt sat on the drain channels or something).

Water pistols?

U know how BIG todays water pistols are????

Lol

I going to wait a month.

Will be moving house soon (lose garage AND my backup daily :( :( :( )

So either going all out to find a replacement sunroof -

Or remove existing broken one and give all the rain channels a good clean!
