What's the latest Wayne? Have you sold?

Nah, Andy

Lots of enquiries

Lots of PX offers

A few low offers ...but holding out until I desperate to sell or found replacement (whichever earliest) ...

If you don't mind some constructive comments having looked at your ebay advert;

1. Make a bigger fuss of the money you've spent on her as you've spent thousands! List that early on and summarise what you've spent on.

2. Take a few minutes to wipe over the slam panel, suspension turrets and washer bottle under the bonnet (at least these items) and stick a new engine photo up. It will look much fresher.

3. Assuming the paint is ok underneath, lose the sticker on the fuel filler flap with a hair dryer or gently with a heat gun

I think the above will make your car much more appealing. You've been honest about it's condition (as you should be) but sell the plus points a little more as it's not all bad! :thumbleft:

Well

Didnt want to remove fuel flap DUB sticker until I was ready to polish and re-spray in last house.

Now that I have moved house, no chance :(

Still,

As Andy (Hairyarse) said, better to remove

Lets see whats underneath the sticker  ...

Ah poop!! Buy a piece of white vinyl?

Hmmmm

I always like to do it proper or not at all

(That is a respray of flap if I could).

In this case might have to buy a white vinyl ...

I hate doing things by 1/2 or cheap fixes :( :( :(

Did think about removing the flap

And rub/sand at home inside a cardboard box then respray ..

With no outside space - its still not good with all that paint smell inside house  :shocked!:

Right

Did a little think,

Think I can live with the following ...

1. Use Tardis or glue-removal to remove any sticky glue residue

- if not try a wet/dry sanding off

2. Polish, clay then sealant (will protect bare metal spot bits)

3. Carbon wrap the flap in white (waterproofs it so no rust and will look good too :o)

Was what I planned before I moved.

But I have no outside space at all now (live in a flat).

Can you do it outside but as you say I'm a box? One warm evening this week when the heat of the sun has gone

something like that can easily be done outside with spray can , where a glove and hold it from the hinge as you spray it, then bring it straight inside being careful not to hit it, place it by an open window, you want the air/draft forcing out of the room/window so make sure you open the right one's depending on wind conditions, failing that im sure it would be fine in bath room with extractor fan on .

I feel bad for making you remove the old vinyl now Wayne! :( I'd paint it for you if was anywhere close

Not your fault, Andy!

There is nothing bad underneath the sticker, just some paint come off - so nothing major!

Relax :)
