Oil pressure switch replacement

Recommended Posts

Any-one been able to replace the two oil pressure switches on top of the filter housing without removing the front end and radiator?

Suggestions welcome, it seems a bit tight at first glance.

That's what she said...

But on a serious note, it's fiddly but doable

What car is it on?

On the G60, you'll get away with a deep 24mm socket.

It's on a VR6 ........ both switches on top of the filter housing.

Remove the front headlight to get access to the connectors. If you don't have aircon you can get to them from the top with deep sockets ( as above). Alternatively you can get at them through the headlight space.

Good shout on the headlight for access to the connectors, a deep socket and a selection of extension bars and universal joints should do the job.
