wanted Vr6 front crossmember

As title VR6 crossmember wanted (one that holds the front engine mount).

 

It will be heading off to be powder coated etc so surface rust not an issue. I would just rather have one ready to do the swap rather than have mine off with engine supported etc.

 

Once sorted I will have a used VR6 subframe and crossmember available

Won't be cheap but have you tried VW Classic Parts?

 

I was in a similar situation recently needing a fan housing for my VR6 & couldn't find one but got one from VW Classic. Excellent website, easy to use, & the part came from Germany in about five days.

I'm been recommended a place in redditch. Expecting it to be 50-60 per piece. I've also got a front slam panel and a drivers wing I need blasting to remove small areas of rust. Can't decide if new slam panel from vw classic is a better option but they are £300 delivered!!!

I got a few things blasted, 2xcrossmembers, rad support,abs rings, spring things that go on the rear plus a rear beam..... Cost was £120 and I painted them myself......worked out quite cheap and turned out well(I think so anyway :lol:)

 

Yes I know there are 2 of the required crossmembers here but I need them both sadly

It's in Bedford. Still on the car but the front bumper and slam panel are off so it shouldn't be too bad to remove. Bit of an arse to post to Worcestershire though, sorry that's not as helpful as I thought it was :(

Both have surface rust, but very solid and will clean up very nicley with a blast and powdercoat. Especially the carrier/under piece which normally rots through, to be fiar I've not seen one this solid in years!

Hi rich yeah these are what I'm After if from a vr6. Where are you and how much are you looking for? Would like first refusal.
