Swap 996 Porsche 305mm Brakes for set that will go under 15 inch Wheels

Recommended Posts

Bit of a long shot but here goes....

I have a complete brake kit for a 4 stud hub consisting of:

- Porsche 996 front calliper2 with modified SEAT carriers & all bolts to mount on the corrado hub

- 305mm Ibiza Cupra-R discs

- HEL performance braided hoses

The discs and pads have plenty of life left in them.

I'm looking for a performance conversion to fit under the std G60 BBS alloy. Hi-Spec / Tarox / AP etc.

I'm not really interested in floating caliper setup.

Let me know if you have something and are interested in doing a deal.

i think your issue may be due to stud pattern

the 'majority' of people i believe would want bigger brakes on VR

though G60's are 4 stud i guess so maybe they might like them

The forum does appear to be predominantly VR's. Not sure if the discs can be drilled for the 5 stud hub? Any idea if the centre bore is the same?

it could be that the VR's are more common than the g60's & not much need for big brakes on a 16v (ie another 4 stud)

i doubt redrilling would be preferable

only option i could potentially see is if the calipers could be used with alternative carriers so as to fit a VR with other discs

I found the need and upgraded to the 280mm G60 setup. I'd upgrade again but only if they fit under my ETA Beta Lucy's which these obviously won't.
