Mawrick 0 Posted December 30, 2016 I'm in the process of "refurbishing" the AC system on my 95 VR6, but the "flare-nuts" on the dryer seem to sit on quite tight, I'v tried different types of spanners (including flare nut spanners), but became a bit unsure about the sizes of these nuts, as a 18mm flare nut spanner won't fit, but a 19 seem to not be too tight on...... Any tips on the sizes (seem to be 2 different sizes on each side of the dryer), and also any others tips on how to loosen this without destroying the pipes :)
Cressa 44 Posted December 30, 2016 I changed mine earlier this year. They were a different size although I can not remember what they were. The left one came off quite easily, but I had to resort to using heat on the right hand one. I tried all different tools from spanners to an adjustable and some footprints...made a bit of a mess but I got it off in the end and it all went back together OK. I will say fitting the new dryer made the aircon a lot more efficient and colder Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
