Oil pump oil seal 1.8 kr

I noticed the oil pump oil seal is leaking behind the cog the cambelt drives.can you buy them and is it a hard job.its on a 1990 1.8 kr

Not terribly, Time the engine, pistons 1-4 up on firing stroke, remove the complete air cleaner, cambelt cover, loosen cambelt and remove it off the toothed pulleys, loosen the jackshafts' retaining bolt, after locking it using either a strap wrench or screwdriver jammed in one of the pulley's holes, remove pulley, unbolt seal retainer (2 13mm bolts), bash out old seal, insert the new one.

Now reverse the procedure and refit it all again.

The shaft is more commonly known as the "intermediate shaft" which drives the oil pump.

VEEDUBBED has covered the procedure to tackle the job, and the oil seal is easily available.
